Holmen Area Foundation recognizes the positive impact of community members

Foundation awards Ruth Scholze Award for Servant Leadership

LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WKBT) – A Holmen organization honors the people and organizations who help make our region a great place to live.

The Holmen Area Foundation hosted its 15th annual Community Breakfast Thursday morning.

Ruth Scholze received the Servant Leadership Award. The Holmen native says she gives back because she loves the community.

“I think it’s just about being active and involved because that’s who I am,” said Scholze. “I cannot stand still. I need to be outside. Be with the people. Make a difference in the world.

The foundation has named a recipient of the Servant Leadership Award since 2010.
