Ms Muigai has already confirmed that she is transitioning into her new role.
“Yes, it is, and I am in the process of settling with the human resource. I’ll start uncensored Africa soon,” revealed Raquel.
This comes just days after she won the 2022 Africa Climate Change and Environment Report (ACCER) award in Rwanda.
“What an honor to receive this, at such a time, Agnes Oloo and I have been named “Laureates of the 2022 Africa Climate Change and Environment Report (ACCER) Award, she remarked.
Ms. Muigai’s colleagues held an internal farewell party in her honor as they wished her the best in her new role.
“It’s been 13 years. It has been a journey. Thank you very much, I am touched. 13 years have been a journey and a half. It is Bernard Ndong who signs for the last time,” he said.
Ndong, who presented his last show on June 25, received a moving farewell from the team who showered him with messages of praise for an illustrious career at the station.
Sports editor Mike Okinyi – in his farewell message – recounted how Ndong ended up in the sports office when he was hired as a sales rep for the media house.
“We were going into the studio to do a screen test for Kirigo Ng’arwa and you asked if you could join us and I said yes, please join.
“I remember it was three weeks of hard training and back and forth and when I finally sent the tape to our boss at the time, Faridah Karoney, she had no doubts and she said “Take Ndong for sports, Kirigo will join for breakfast”, and the rest is history”, Okinyi says.
